Klaralund
Well, I decided what to make from my lovely cotton! Klaralund!
Specifics:
Pattern: Klaralund from Noro pattern book "Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton Collection Book 2"
Yarn: Recycled 100% cotton from large men's pullover
Needles: Size 9 Addi Natura 24" circular
Modifications: I had a larger gauge than the pattern in order to get the drape I wanted. So I redid the math to match my gauge. SUPER easy in this pattern. They call it an "intermediate" pattern but to that I say "horse hockey." It's just 4 rectangles. It's the sewing them together that makes it intermediate, I think. When I make this again (and I WILL 'cause I love the way it looks,) I will knit the sleeves and sew them and the back part. Then I can simply pick up all the way around and knit the body from the top down. I'd eliminate a huge amount of sewing.
Really fun to knit and FAST. I finished it in a week AND I forced myself to knit the entire thing Continental style. And I mostly did, too! (Though I cheated on some purl rows when my left hand got stiff.)

My first Re-KAL!
Hello all :)
I've realised that I never posted my first Re-KAL, so here it is!
It's a Hug! I made this using an unravelled shrug from a charity shop. I haven't used all the yarn up, and am part-way through using the rest for some armwarmers. You can see more info and pictures about the Hug in this blog-post.
I love this pattern. If I can ever get to the stage where I can be a free'n'easy knitter again then I'd like to make loads and loads. As simple as a scarf but a lot more fun!
