Link to my latest ReKlaim. And a gratuitous picture of my son.
I hope for it to become something like these

It Only Takes About 30 Minutes....
.... to go from this....

(really horrible funnel neck sweater our of really beautiful LaLana Silver Streak yarn)
.... to this....

No, I am not going to skein and wash it. I never do.
I hope it will become something similar to this.

Santo Vincento di Paolo
Was out and about yesterday and stopped into the St. Vincent de Paul store. Have to say I was looking for some ReKAL opportunities and was highly disappointed. Next on the list, Goodwill. If all else fails, I'll have to go to Thrift City next week when I'm in New Orleans.
Are most of you buying goods at thrift outlets and flea markets to recycle or are you recycling something from your closet? Just bein' nosey...

Updates
I'm up to date ( I think) on the participants list and have sent out poster invites to many. If I didn't send you one and you'd like to post here (and on your own blog, why not? Spreads the word no?!) leave a comment or email me and I'll add you.
Last Saturday Deb and I hit the local market. First stop was our LOYM ( Little Old Yarn Man) who have three tables laden with fiberly goodness (okay so this isn't really ReKAL stuff but I'm getting there). Deb even got a photo of our LOYM! After all the great SEX we hit the clothing tables with kiddos (4 of 'em) in tow. Make a note: if you are ever planning on hitting the Catania fiera (market) go during a weekday. On Saturdays the sweaters that are normally 50cents to 1 euro go up to 3 euros..only 1 euro finds are half petroleum! I did manage to pick up a little fun fur sweater that goes from a dark grey to a lighter silvery grey on one of the tables. It reminded me of the Onde yarn (only way cheaper and tackier) and thought it would be fun to mess around with. Kiddo claimed it as soon as we got home so will have to wait until she outgrows it so I can recycle. Also snagged green/grey weird wool sweater that wants to become a floor cushion (do I really need another bag? Well maybe.
So where do the rest of you look for froggables/reusables? Thrift shop? Hubby's closet? Humm? That reminds me, I think it's high time I go thru both our sweater piles...and check those seams.

I was thinking...
Is it better to have you all (or whoever wants) added to the blog so you can post or would you prefer to just leave a comment and I update once/twice weekly-ish. I see some blogs have multiple posters, don't know if it works well or if info is lost, just a though. What say ye?
